Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
Still have a few bushels of Pink Lady, Fuji and Arkansas Black apples. While we've closed retail for the season, want to give you an opportunity to obtain some of these at very special prices, before offering to other outlets.
I'll be at the farm every day this week, except Thursday. (Betty and I have to watch our GEORGIA BULLDOGS!) When I'm at the farm, the side gate will be open. Drive on in. If you don't see me, blow horn hard and I'll be right down. Will have several bushel cartons of Pink Ladies for $10/ bu., Fujis for $8.00/bu. and Arkansas Blacks for $7/bu.. Also 5 lb. bags of snack size Pink Lady and Fuji for $1.25.
After attending several Southeast fruit grower meetings thru much of January, will be back working hard preparing the fruit trees, vines and bushes for the 2009 fruiting season.
Need your help in finding person(s) to work in the orchard doing so. Much of the work is quite physical. Will only work when it is not raining or extremely wet and temperature is above 40 F. Can use college and high school (15 or older) student(s) who can only work on Saturdays. If you know of someone who might be interested, have them call me (979-8378) or come by and see me at the farm.
Thanks to all for your great support and to our great employees. 2008 was the most successful business season ever for Perdue's Mountain Fruit Farm!
Have several new things underway that should make our farm experience in 2009, and future years, even better. Will tell you about them in our early June 2009 annual newsletter.
All of you have a very wonderful happy, healthy and successful new year! Again many, many thanks for being our customer and friend.
