 Apple Season Has Arrived!
We have started picking apples; Paulareds and Ginger Golds. In about another week should be able to start spot picking Galas, Honeycrisp and possibly even a few Mc Intosh.
With apples now ripe we have changed our plans. Will not be closing the retail market for a week. Instead we will continue to be open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays--possibly Sundays, until after Labor Day.
Blackberry picking is still fair and should be for about another 10 days.
Bunch grapes are ripening fast! Will pick a few seedless table grapes this week and probably start picking Fredonias (concord type) by end of next week. Concords and Niagaras are still a couple weeks from being ripe.
Should be able to start making fresh cider and apple sauce by end of month.
 Should be making trip to south Georgia the week of August 17 to get annual supply of jumbo Virginia White freshly dug "green" peanuts.
Need your help again! After Labor Day need employee(s) to work processing room and to help with picking, sorting and boxing apples. Please put out the word for us. If you know of anyone interested, have them stop by farm and talk with me. Thanks so very much for your help on this.
