With the coming of apple ripening we are finally getting to a more typical harvest season.
From now until season end in late November our retail farm market will be open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday; 10:00 AM till 5:30 PM. Sunday; 12:30 PM till 6:00 PM.
Except for this Sunday, August 30.
This Sunday we will be closed because I will be on annual trip to south Georgia to pick up this season's supply of freshly dug Virginia Jumbo White Peanuts. Should have boiled "Green" peanuts ready for you by Wednesday, Sept.2.
Jill and Dianne will be operating the retail market week days. John Bennett and/or RRP will do so on Sundays.
We are now picking Ginger Gold, Ozark Gold, McIntosh, Early Fuji and Gala apples. Some of you like certain varieties before they are fully ripe. We are doing some early picking of Cortland, Golden Delicious and Jonagold.
Started picking fresh figs this week. Will have Concord, Fredonia and Mars seedless grapes for about another 10 days.
We're trying to get everything up and running so can make fresh cider this Friday and apple sauce late next week.
Come see us real soon!
