Perdeaux Fruit Farm closes for the season Sunday, November 15th

Pink Ladies

Our 2015 fruit harvest season, in spite of severe summer drought followed by excessive rains, has been a pretty good business season for Perdeaux Fruit Farm--thanks to our great customers and friends! Many thanks to all!

Perdeaux Apple Cider, Apple Butter, Applesauce and Apple SlicesThe season is rapidly coming to a close. This will be the last week for our retail market to be open. We will be open Tuesday and will close Sunday afternoon. Tuesday and Wednesday we will be making last production of apple sauces. Thursday, fresh apple cider. If you have not obtained your holiday, gift and winter supply of these, come early as they will be selling fast.

We have made a quantity of our pasteurized fresh apple slice packages which are available Tuesday. Starting Thursday, will be selling for the first time our pasteurized fresh peach slice packages. Supply of these is limited!

Apples have been selling fast the past three weeks. The number of varieties available has decreased considerably. Still have Pink Ladies, Red Delicious, Goldrush and lots of good size, juicy and flavored Arkansas Blacks. Arkansas Blacks are great for eating, cooking and store longer than any other variety. Have bushel cartons available at a great price---$28.00. Have you got your seasonal supply?

Still have good quantities of certain processed products:

Regular and no sugar added Apple Butter.

Kiefer Pear Preserves--a delicacy from the "old South" - Great on hot breakfast biscuits!

Nectarine Preserves--we are sold out of peach preserves. Nectarine tastes similar to peach. (Some say even better.)

Apple Cider Jelly--One of our more recent preserve creations. Delicious on toast and biscuits!

Betty's Country CatsupBetty's Country Catsup--another delicious product from the "old South". A recipe my wife's family has been making using fresh tomatoes from their garden and handing down for over 100 years. They use as a condiment on Southern vegetables. I'm amazed at the ways people are using it.

Canebrake Farm's pickled (acidified) vegetables--great locally made Southern products.

Perone's Italian Sauces--Vince Perone was a Greenville legend--Furman football player/a very successful restaurant owner and good friend. His son Steve is making and marketing several of the restaurant's famous Italian sauces. If you haven't already done so, you need to give them a try!

Robbi's Salsa--made by a good friend of our daughter in Little Rock, Arkansas. Best shelf stable Salsa I have ever tasted. Need to give a try!!

Look forward to seeing you this week!!
