The late freeze this Spring caused more peach crop loss than we expected. Especially on the right ridge, just above the retail building.
As a result we will have few to no peaches to pick this Saturday and Sunday. The peach crop looks good on the left ridge.
Hopefully, more peaches will ripen and we can start picking again next Wednesday.
Nectarines are a little more cold tolerant. Will have
lots of delicious nectarines available this weekend.
Will pick the last Georgia Belles this weekend. Also will pick the last Ozark Premier
plums and will start picking Starking Delicious plums.
Have started picking Galas and have plenty of Ginger Gold apples. Also ripened, ready to eat Bartlett type pears.
Hope to see you at the farm soon!
