Been quite a while since you've heard from me. It has been a very difficult farming year. First we had the late freeze in March that took out most of our stone fruit crops. Then the rainy period during July/August, which caused considerable apple crop loss due to Bitter Rot fungus.
This year's season is ending early and soon! We will be closing the retail market for the 2017 season, this Sunday, November 19.
The amount and number of #1 apple varieties we have available is decreasing rapidly. Still have several bushels of #1 Pink Ladies, Jonagolds and Galas.
We also have a number bushels of #2 apples--apples used in processing. These will be available at reduced prices. They are okay for eating and great for cooking.
Will be making during the week more fresh applesauces and apple cider as needed.
Still have a good selection and quantities of our fresh fruit preserves and sauce. These processed products make great gifts! You need to get your supply soon.
Many are buying in sizable quantities. So our inventory of each is going fast!
This week we will be closing the retail market at 5:00pm each day.
Hope to see you soon!
